we saw a few bears

thanks to a free pass given to us from a friend, we finally made it to bearizona. 

 we drove through the homes of some bison (my favorite), some wolves, some other animals.

when we drove in circles around the bear area, we noticed 20-ish bears - all sleeping at the base of their trees.  we waited awhile and then saw one from near by stir, then stretch, then slowly get up. 

then it walked straight to our car!  then he took his time and crossed the road in front of us.  


after the drive-thru area, we checked out the petting zoo and other animals. 


mateo met a fox, the animal we always joke about him being.  it turned out no not look much like him.  ruby met her animal, the owl, which turned out to be much like her little twin.  the owl was perched on the arm of an employee, while ruby perched on my hip, both staring and turning their wise heads at each other.
