we had a happy father's day. luke got to sleep in, and then we started the day with his famous challah french toast for breakfast (he cooked for us, oops, but only because i don't know his french toast secrets) with bacon. then we hopped on our bikes and rode to the farmer's market. we shopped around and then biked to the forest near our house to play frisbee golf, one of luke's favorite things. soon we were all tired and hungry so we biked downtown to have lunch at the new tapas restaurant where we sort of went crazy and ordered everything. patatas bravas, tortilla espanola, calamari, gazpacho, jamon, queso manchego, and of course sangria. we are already planning on going back next week for the paella. we biked home, put the kids to bed, and then because we were so full we laid on the couch and watched tv during the day - something we never do. that was it for the father's day festivities i had planned for him until we saw that dads could get free yogurt at the new yogurt shop in town, so later in the evening we went out for that too. such a fun day. and such a great papi he is to our babies.
